Thank you for sharing my story. I hope it motivates my contemporaries to take as much control over their lives and health as they can. My goal: to die healthy!
There is a passage in the Myth of Normal by Gabor Mate where he talks about his doctor friend of native American descent who told him about his grandmother. She kept herself healthy and always said that you've got to keep healthy so that you can have fun"on the other side". Then one day she said she's going to die. Her western minded daughter said, don't be silly, you're as fit as a fiddle. But grandma died that night. The point being that old age and disease are not something that need to go together, and I guess that no matter how smart you are about your health, the time is limited. But taking charge and living to the hilt is what we should all aim for. 😁
I like that a lot. I never worry about dying. I only worry about losing my agency, physically or mentally. When my time is up, my time is up. Till then, "living to the hilt" sounds pretty good.
This is a fantastic and very inspiring story. Congratulations for trusting yourself and staying commitedly with what you knew to be right. That's awesome, an absolute transformation.

This is a very inspiring story. Thank you for sharing it and giving us hope that it doesn't have to be all downhill from wherever we are.
And yes, actually I would have clicked on Clemenceau, but perhaps I am in the minority on that one.
Yes. I think you'd be in minority 😂 But it's great that we have these minorities 😜
